If you follow me on Twitter and keep an eye on my James Lyle Photography feed, then you will have already seen some of my posts about spring flowers. I love this time of year when nature starts to bloom.
After many months of poor weather, it is about time that we received some sunshine. That said, the current Coronavirus situation is making it very difficult to enjoy the sunny spells and to make the most of the great outdoors.
While we are limited to one hour of exercise a day, I have been trying to make the most of my local walks. The bluebells are starting to bloom in the woodlands and they are definitely brightening up the landscape. They make the paths very pretty. I also have some in my garden and today I spent some time photographing these delightful flowers.
I was even lucky enough to spot a bee that was buzzing around. I admire so many photographs on Twitter that I see about wildlife. I envy anyone that can take a good picture of any animal or insect. You need to be very patient and lots of the photos end up being a waste of time. However, when you hit the jackpot and get a good action shot, it is worth the wait!
I tried to get a good picture of the bee today for my James Lyle photography website but it was moving so quickly that I found it very difficult to capture with my camera. However, I have included a few pictures that I managed to get of the bee in this post just because it was such fun watching it move around. They are such bright and vibrant insects and I find looking at them fascinating. This bee was darting between the flower heads and looked incredibly busy indeed.
